Schiffer Hicks Johnson is pleased to welcome Dan Hinde, a former judge of the 269^th District Court of Harris County, to the firm as a partner.

While on the bench, Dan presided over hundreds of trials, resolving more than 15,000 matters during his tenure at the District Court. Known for his level-headed, analytical approach to the law, Dan built a strong reputation as an efficient and ethical adjudicator. He looks forward to bringing his substantial experience and unique perspective to bear in commercial litigation matters for the firm’s clients.

Joining Schiffer Hicks Johnson is somewhat of a homecoming for Dan, who worked with Adam Schiffer, Logan Johnson and Andy Hicks as a trial lawyer in the Houston office of Vinson & Elkins. It was his familiarity with the abilities and the talents of his fellow partners, however, that drew him to the firm.

“I’ve seen their work both as colleagues and as a judge, and I know how really good they are,” Hinde said. “And most important to me, they’re good people,” Dan said of his Schiffer Hicks Johnson partners. “When I was considering options, this was my first choice.”
