SHJ Promotes Persis Dean to Partnership; Davis, Winchester Named Senior Counsel

SHJ is pleased to announce the continued growth of its leadership team with the promotion of Persis Dean to partner. Matthew W. Davis and Brandon Winchester have been named senior counsel.

Dean is an accomplished trial and arbitration lawyer with extensive experience representing clients in tort claims and commercial disputes. She joined the firm in 2015 after seven years as in-house counsel for Exxon Mobil Corporation, where she advised clients on all areas of the natural gas and liquefied natural gas value chain and project lifecycle. “Schiffer Hicks has been a great fit for me from the beginning. I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to help advance the firm’s objectives as a member of the leadership team,” Dean said.

“We couldn’t be more delighted to welcome Persis to the partnership,” said partner Andy Hicks. “She combines exceptional legal expertise with top-tier client service skills and will help lead the firm to even greater success.” Dean will also continue to mentor junior lawyers and help oversee the firm’s diversity and inclusion initiatives.

As senior counsel, Davis and Winchester will continue to play key roles in the success of the firm’s nationally recognized commercial litigation practice. Davis litigates a broad range of complex disputes in state and federal court in addition to supervising the firm’s e-discovery efforts and managing its document database; Winchester defends and prosecutes claims for breach of contract, real estate disputes, and RICO actions, among others, with significant experience representing public and municipal entities. “Their industry knowledge, legal acumen, and ability to guide clients through complex business challenges make Matt and Brandon valuable assets,” said partner Adam Dinnell. “They will draw on these strengths to help our firm continue its expansion in key areas.”
