Dan focuses his practice on complex civil litigation, including trials and appeals. As a veteran of an Am Law 10 firm, he has extensive experience handling a broad range of sophisticated matters for corporations and individuals, including shareholder derivative suits, securities class actions, contract disputes, antitrust matters, torts cases, international arbitrations, and cutting-edge cybersecurity matters. Dan also has experience assisting corporations with both internal investigations and government enforcement matters.

Dan is known for his integrity, attention to detail, and diplomacy. Clients value his ability to master complex concepts and cut straight to the heart of a dispute. He immerses himself in his clients’ issues, focuses on their goals, and develops pragmatic, cost-effective strategies to attain the best resolutions possible.

Prior to joining Schiffer Hicks Johnson, Dan was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP, where he practiced general litigation in the firm’s Chicago office. Before law school, he worked at Google for three years, partnering with advertising agencies and executives at multibillion-dollar companies to expand and optimize digital marketing campaigns.

Dan maintains an active pro bono practice and has represented indigent clients in civil rights actions, wrongful conviction matters, and immigration cases.
