Fatima’s practice focuses on commercial disputes, with a particular interest in energy-related arbitration and litigation. During her time at SHJ, she has drafted memoranda and first-draft motions for a wide range of matters, including breach of contract claims, partnership disputes, and product liability claims.
Clients value the global perspective Fatima brings to her practice. Fluent in Urdu, she completed summer associateships at law firms in Pakistan, the UAE, and the UK; studied law in Scotland; and holds a master’s degree in international affairs and human rights. Relying on the insights gained during her travels across the globe, she has developed strong cultural competency skills that contribute to positive outcomes in cross-border matters.
Prior to joining SHJ, Fatima served as a legal extern at the International Law Institute in Washington, D.C., where she assisted with research related to investment treaty arbitration and public international law.
