Fraser litigates complex commercial disputes at both the trial and appellate levels, as well as in arbitration proceedings. He has drafted dispositive and non-dispositive briefs, prepared depositions, and conducted discovery for cases in state and federal court involving a wide range of claims, including private equity, healthcare, bankruptcy, and anticompetition.

After spending three years on the other side of the bench—two in the Western District of Texas, one in the Ninth Circuit—Fraser is well-equipped to guide clients through all stages of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial and appeal. Clients benefit from his insights into case management, presentation, and strategy, as well as his strong written advocacy skills. Whether securing leverage through a dispositive motion or drafting a credible appellate brief, he communicates with clarity, precision, and confidence. He excels at developing compelling narratives that resonate with judges and juries and successfully advance his clients’ interests.

Before joining SHJ, Fraser clerked for the Hon. Bridget Bade of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, working on cases concerning immigration, bankruptcy, First Amendment claims, and the False Claims Act. Previously, he clerked for the Hon. Sam Sparks of the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. In this capacity, he focused on pre-trial dispositions in cases relating to, among other things, the Federal Tort Claims Act and the Endangered Species Act. Fraser also served as an associate at Sidley Austin’s Dallas office.
